As we open the door and step inside the lower floor of the Old Dairy, the room is filled with a soft steady whir, paced by a faster buzz, click and then another buzz. Some twenty seamstresses are working hard. This is where the heart of Ruskovilla is. Working for the good of people and nature is at the core of our operations. We believe that underwear, being in direct contact with the skin, plays a major role in the well-being of people. We succeeded in adding a new immunity-supporting forest microbe extract, developed by scientists from forest dust, into our new Metsä (Forest) underwear collection. This innovation lifts the meaning of underwear to a completely new level, and we are particularly happy and proud of it. When the world is in turmoil, it is increasingly important to pay attention to matters that are well. We want to believe in a tomorrow in which people and nature are one, and in which we do more for the sake of each other and our environment. This idea of a new tomorrow keeps pushing us forward. We will be employing people in Finland now and in the future, because we want to create permanence, security and faith in something better. High-quality sheepskins for babycare Our ethically produced and safe “infant care” sheepskins specially intended for baby care are amazingly soft for strollers, lounging and baby care. The sheepskins also look great in many interiors.

The sheepskins are made in New Zealand. Only organic treatments, such as antibacterial essential oils, are used in treating sheepskins. They feature a permanent Sanitized® hygiene treatment, and they are machine washable. Each sheepskin is packaged in a stylish cotton storage/carrying bag.

We manufacture products from three different types of natural fibres. When choosing the right size of silk wool clothing for adults especially, please remember that silk wool is more flexible than wool or silk. Our wool products’ knitted fabric will shrink a little in the first wash, which has been accounted for in the sizing, which will run a little loose before the first wash. Take care of your favourite clothes

When you take good care of your favourite clothes, they will serve you for a long time. Natural fibres become fresh by airing them out, but after regular use or before longer storage they should be washed using organic detergents. In case your garment starts to wear out, don’t ditch it but fix it – nature will thank you!
